Many times we get an opportunity in our life to take responsibility for our own health and make a change. But, many times we continue with our bad habits saying that we don’t have time, opportunity or money to do it right now. It is very much understandable that making a change is not always easy. Staying with old habits is much easier on one level, but in the long term, not making a change while we still can, will become a more difficult road. 

Let us be honest with ourselves and see how much time, money and energy we spend on habits, things, people that don’t serve our health and happiness. 

I hear it many times from people around me that I very much need relaxation, I am so stressed, but I don’t have time for meditation or learning breathing techniques, all my weekends and evenings are already busy and I cannot even find time to learn the techniques for my wellbeing. I would say: ‘Start prioritizing your own physical and mental health.’ Unless you take care of yourself, you cannot take care of others. What is inside you, reflects on people and situations around you, so if we want people and situations around us to be better and different, then we have to start making a change NOW. There is no time to waste in being unhappy, grumbling or not making good choices for our health. Life is too short. The opportunity that is there right now, to make our health a number 1 priority in our life, has to be taken seriously. Prevention or solving a smaller problem is always easier than waiting for a more serious condition to develop and trying to solve it at that time. It is always possible to solve bigger challenges too, but why not take action while the solution is easily reachable?  

I want you to make an honest assessment of your own life and see what all things you do for your own mental and physical health! I am not saying that you should not go to cinema, go for a holiday or enjoy a date, but see how much of activities you do which may give you momentary happiness and relief from your problems and how much you do for yourself which is really effective in providing you with relief and which goes deep and clears you mentally and physically so that you can be the best version of yourself for yourself and for others around you.
